Those staying on site are welcome to launch free of charge but please be conscious to give way to our boat hirers on site when launching. If you are not staying on site you can book a Park & Launch slot for the listed launch fee for the time of year - please note this is subject to availability.

You can find a river map on our River Maps page, as well as places to visit on the river.

If you’d like a drink or snack to take with you, we have an on-site shop selling sweets, local ice cream and hot or cold drinks.

A breakdown of our prices can be found here

Yes we do have a limited number of spaces. We kindly ask that guests park sensibly and come in as few cars as possible. Where this is not possible we ask groups to “double park”.

We have two local pubs nearby us, The Wherry Inn and The Locks Inn Community Pub. The Locks is either a short walk or a 30 minute paddle away.

Yes, we have variety of choices and availability to cater for group bookings, including our MEGA stand up paddleboard (up to 8 people).

Payments are preferred by BACS to keep our fees low however we can accept cash and card payments.

Fishing is allowed but we are not particularly set up for it. You may fish off any of our banks but not from the wooden jetty or launching areas. Please ensure you clean up after yourself and act responsibly.

Be aware fishing is not allowed in the area 15th March - 16th June and you must have a fishing licence.

We are a pet friendly site. Well behaved dogs on leads are most welcome to join you on your boat with us at no extra cost.

In our canoes you sit on a "bench" with your legs below you as apposed to sitting ontop of our kayaks with your legs out infront of you. Canoes are paddled with a one ended paddle, alternating on either side of the boat whereas kayaks are paddled with one double ended paddle. It is likely that you will get more wet in a kayak from the drips from the paddle in comparison to the canoe. The canoes are more "tippy" than the kayaks.

For your safety it’s reccomended that you paddle with a buoyancy aid on at all times. All of our hires come with buoyancy aids included.

Departure times are every 15 minutes from 9am depending on season and availability.

All boats must be returned to The Boat Shed before sunset.
